Many of you will probably ask, what makes this guy qualified to speak to or make proposals for America’s future energy strategy? The gall! Well…, to give these views some deserved credibility let me offer a short summary of my background and experience:

I am a degreed nuclear engineer with more than 43 years of experience in the electric utility industry. Of that, 30 plus years were in nuclear power generation and the remainder was in fossil fuel generation, predominantly new facility construction. Approximately 35 of those years were in supervisory and management roles with a large portion of it as a member of a senior management team. I’ve been directly involved in a variety of functions including operations, engineering, quality assurance, project management, regulatory and governmental affairs, and procurement. In the last dozen years of my career I was involved in the construction of coal, natural gas, wind and biomass facilities ultimately finishing my career as the utility Project Manager for construction of one of the largest coal-fired generating facilities in Wisconsin. It’s been a wild ride!
